Family Grief Center
|
The mission of the West Virginia Family Grief Center is to provide caring support to grieving children and their families through peer support, education, and outreach. Families with children between age 3 and 18, who have experienced the death of a loved one, meet weekly to share a meal, meet others who have experienced losses, and learn that their feelings are normal and they are not alone in their grief. Peer Support Groups meet on Monday evenings from 6pm until 8pm beginning September 13, 2004.

Tender Loving Care Home Care, Hospice and Private Duty is the states largest in home service provider with a full continuum of services to meet the patients and families needs. Home Care services are for acutely ill patients. Hospice provides caring to terminally ill patients and supportive services to their families. Private Duty care meets the needs of patients and families that need help for four or more hours in a day. Nurses and Aides can come to relieve the family and provide supportive services. Hospice Care Corporation

Hospice Care has been providing compassionate care for over 20 years. You should consider Hospice Care for your loved one when that person has an illness of which there is no cure. At any time during a life-limiting illniess, it's appropriate to discouss all of a patient's care options, including hospice. Hospice Care staff members are h ighly sensitive to patient and family concerns and are always available to discuss them with the patient and family. Transitions Center of Hospice Care's mission is "To assist individuals as they move through the loss and grief process and to provide bereavement counseling, support, education, crisis intervention, and resources to the community.:" The Transitions Center is a cummunity based program that provides services throughout North Central WV.
