Obituary of Margo Lyn Stock Neal

Margo Lyn Neal, 68, of 174 Brewer Rd., Morgantown, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 17, 1946 in Wheeling, WV to the late Doris McMahon Stock and Kenneth Stock. Margo graduate from Wellsburg High School, then went on to get a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master's degree in Human Resources and education from West Virginia University. Margo worked for WVU for 20 years, retiring from the Center for Excellence in Disabilities. Margo loved animals of all kinds, especially cats. She also loved music, and Wild Wonderful West Virginia. She was one of the originators of the Morgantown Winter Music Festival (now known as the Gardner Winter Music Festival). Margo was a loving and caring mother with a generous and gentle spirit who showed her family and friends what unconditional love truly feels like. Margo is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ralph "Butch" Neal; her daughter, Alison Polen of New Jersey; step-daughters Melissa Patterson of Morgantown, and Michelle Sayrs of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Theo Houston and wife Danelle of Florida, Brytnei Houston of Morgantown, Myles Patterson of Morgntown, and Eddie and Corrina Sayrs of Wisconsin; and two great-grandsons, Caymon Jackson of Morgantown and Xavier Houston of Florida. She is also survived by her sister, Diane "Dee" Visnic and husband Dewey ofArizona, and three nieces and one nephew. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Margo's life at her home on 174 Brewer Rd., Morgantown, on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 2 PM until the celebration ends. Anyone attending is asked to bring any pictures, memorabilia and stories of Margo to share. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia, 252 Brewer Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508.
