Obituary of Sgt. Isaac Eugene Alexander

On September 29th, 2014, Isaac Eugene Alexander, age 31, passed from this life into the arms of his Heavenly Father. He was born September 30th 1982 in Morgantown, WV and graduated from University High School in 2000 and Shepherd University with a BSN in 2012. Isaac was preceded in death by his father, Charles Alexander and his beloved sister, Amber Alexander Lucchiani. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Libby” Shoulders; step-father, Stephen Shoulders; sister, Tracy Frankwick; brothers, Philip Alexander, Shawn Shoulders, Steve Shoulders, Joel Frankwick, Antonio Lucchiani; and a very special cousin, Michael Levin. He is also survived by his aunts and uncle, Mary Jo “Dee Doe” Levin, Phyllis “Perk” Bateson, Sherran Shaver, Kim Boswell, Sam Larsok and their children. Isaac left behind three little “buddies”, Anthony and Isabella Lucchiani and Aubrey Alexander. Isaac was above all things, a servant to his fellow man - a servant to his country by serving in the US Marine Corps and deploying twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; a servant to his community by volunteering as a firefighter with Citizens Fire Company in Charles Town, WV and a servant to the sick and injured as a Registered Nurse with Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Isaac continues to serve his family and friends by the examples he set in life. He will always be remembered for his great smile, warm hugs and a giving heart. We will see you on the other side of the rainbow Izzy. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Sunday, October 5th from 2-6 PM and again on Monday, October 6th from 10 AM until the 11 AM service in the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Following the funeral service, the family’s wishes for cremation will be honored, and inurnment will be held at a later date in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
