Mildred Taylor Kelly, formerly of Morgantown passed away on September 1, 2015 at Cortland Acres, Thomas, WV. Daughter of the former Stanley and Cora Zinn Guseman, she was born on October 12, 1918 at Zinn’s Chapel, Preston County, WV. She worked as a U.S. Postal Clerk, serving in the Bretz, Reedsville, and Clarksburg offices. Upon retirement, she volunteered for many years at University Hospital. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Woodland United Methodist Church where she was active until the age of 90. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Kelly; her first husband, Joseph E. Taylor, who died in 1973; and a granddaughter, Katherine Lynn Taylor. Surviving is her son, James D. Taylor (Paula), of Hockessin, DE; two granddaughters, Margaret Melissa Butler (William) of Manheim, PA and Emily Taylor Poppe (Clayton) of Ithaca, NY; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnathan R. Butler, Caris S. Poppe and Gillian S. Poppe. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews who were very important to her. Viewing will be held at Hasting’s Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, September 4, 2015, from 2 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 PM. Interment will take place at the Masontown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Woodland United Methodist Church, 1846 Mileground Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
