Andrew David Kyle Zimmer

Andrew David Kyle Zimmer, born in Morgantown on August 25, 1991, passed away on May 7, 2026 at the age of 34. 

Andrew was a graduate of Wood County Christian High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Finance. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Andrew loved drinking coffee and eating pizza. He also loved golfing, traveling, and experiencing different cultures around the world. His travels took him to places such as Romania, the Philippines, and many other countries. Those who knew Andrew will remember him as a handsome, intelligent, sweet, and funny man whose presence could brighten any room.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Gisella Zimmer; his biological mother, Dawn Hilling; his current adopted father, Mark Zimmer (Susan); his brother, Seth Zimmer; as well as his sisters, Hannah Zimmer and Sierra LaPiana.

Andrew was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Angela Zimmer; grandmother, Yvonne Cox; and his previous adopted father, Dwayne Dye.

Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, May 21st from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service at 10:00am. Andrew will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 21st at the West Virginia National Cemetery, 42 Veterans Memorial Ln. in Grafton, WV, with a committal service beginning at 2pm with full military rites being conducted.
