Anna Marie Russell

Anna Marie Russell, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born on December 11, 1938, in Core, West Virginia to the late Gilbert Forquer and the late Jenny (Pawlak) Forquer.

Ann had a flair for creativity and a passion for crafting and ceramics. She also enjoyed quilting and gardening, especially tending to her flower garden which brought color and warmth to her home.

Ann is survived by her sons, James Herbert Mason (Lisa), David Mason (Joy), Doug Mason (Aleisha), and Timothy Russell (Linda); grandchildren, Ashley Wright (Matt), Casie Savage (Mike), Ryan DeBardi (Sandra), Alexis Mason, Carter Mason, Lauren Mason, and Jacob Mason; great-grandchildren, Macey, Nathan, Stella, Grant, Grayson, Sophia, Ruthie, and Louise; as well as six brothers and sisters. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Gizmo, and her cat, Lucy, who each brought her comfort and companionship.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held for the family on Saturday, April 25th at Hastings Funeral Home beginning at 12:00pm with Pastor Joe Adams officiating. Interment will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
