Betty Hart

Betty J. Hart, 76, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side. Betty was born in Morgantown on June 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Michael and Irene Farkas Sakalo.She was a great cook and worked many years for a sorority. Betty retired from BOPARC, where she was the Director of the Senior Center. She is survived by her children, Mike Hart and wife Pat, of Charleston, SC, Susan Mummery of Morgantown, Tom Hart and wife Nola of Morgantown, Shawn Hart and wife, Karen of Rochester, NY and Shane Hart of Morgantown, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her brother, Mike Sakalo and wife, Nancy of Cleveland, OH. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Wednesday, February 23, from 6-8pm, where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30pm in the funeral home to conclude visitation. Visitation will continue at St. Maryâs Byzatine Catholic Church, from 9:30 â" 10am on Thursday, February 24. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10am Thursday with Rev. Michael Huszt as celebrant.
