Bradley Blair Messenger

Brad Messenger, 75, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at his sister’s residence in Albright, West Virginia. 

Brad was born to the late Blair and Betty Messenger. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Messenger. He is survived by his brothers, Gary Messenger and his wife, Pat, and Kevin Messenger and his wife, Jackie; his sister, Beverly Howdershelt and her husband, Denver; and his nephew, Marc DeVall, and his wife, Carrie, who provided care and support to Brad during his later years. 

He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout the years.

 Brad was a proud graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Psychology. His working life was spent in the hospitality business, taking him to many places and allowing him to meet countless people. His career included time in Lake Tahoe, Lakeview, Nemacolin, and at West Virginia University. 

Brad had a genuine love of life and enjoyed many interests, especially photography, sailing, and travel. Through these passions, he created memories and experiences that he treasured. 

Those who knew Brad will remember him most for his warm and personable nature. He truly “never knew a stranger.” Brad had a way of making people feel welcome and comfortable, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His kindness, generosity, and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. 

Brad was very much loved by his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt. He will be missed and lovingly remembered.
