Brenda Kay (Ensinger) Nolan passed away peacefully in Morgantown, WV, on July 2, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Sardis, OH, on July 7, 1958, Brenda was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Ensinger. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt whose presence made the world a brighter place.

For over 35 years, Brenda dedicated her life to education as a beloved teacher in Wetzel County, WV. She shaped the minds and hearts of hundreds, if not thousands, of students, leaving a lasting impression in their lives. Her memory will undoubtedly live on through the many individuals she inspired and nurtured.

Outside of her impactful career, Brenda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading a good book, watching her favorite sports teams, and thoughtfully sending handwritten cards to friends and family. Her selfless nature was evident in everything she did, always prioritizing the care and well-being of others.

Brenda is survived by her children, Breanna (Zach) Sheppard and Brady (Kayleigh) Nolan. She is also survived by her siblings, Bruce (Clark) Ensinger, Bryan (Meg) Ensinger, Beverly Adams, and Becky Ensinger Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bert Nolan, Jr.

In keeping with Brenda's wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home, and no public service is planned at this time.
