Carole Sue Davis, 78, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. She was born on March 8, 1941, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Edwin White and Vaughn (Hilling) White. She was a member of the Spruce Street United Methodist Church for 65+ years, was of strong faith and loved The Lord. She served WVU employment for 20 years. She graduated MHS in 1959 and was a Mohiganette in the MHS band. She was very talented from an early age, dancing, singing, and acting. Carole Sue loved to travel and vacation in Savannah, GA. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, decorating and was a wonderful artist. She loved to cook and anyone who visited her didn’t leave empty-handed. From her giving nature, she would give visitors foods to take with them. She also loved her dog, Lilly. Carole Sue was survived by her sons of whom she adored and was very proud of: Scott Davis and wife, Jennifer, of Tipp City, OH, grandchildren (children of Scott and Jennifer), Emily and Ian Davis of Tipp City, OH; Todd Davis and wife, Kimberly Christopher Davis, of Morgantown, and Dr. Chad Davis, also of Morgantown; and her brother: Ed White of Leesburg, VA. Carole Sue will be dearly missed by her many friends, Bible study group, class of ’59 and many others. Thanks to all who visited her during her illness and to Pastor Neil Leftwich for his kindness in bringing communion to her. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
