Carolyn Kutsuflakis, 80, passed away on January 17th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife to her husband of 50 years, Gust Kutsuflakis, Carolyn built a life defined by unwavering loyalty, compassion, and selflessness.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Gust Kutsuflakis, and her three sons: Steven, Michael, and Nicholas Kutsuflakis. She was survived by her sisters Martha Meis and Emma Demoulakis, and preceded in death by her sister Monica Meis. Carolyn shared a meaningful bond with her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Kutsuflakis and Bill Kutsuflakis, along with family members Tina and Lynn. She was blessed with five grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Carolyn lived with purpose and dedication. She began her career serving as a nursing instructor in Pittsburgh before moving to Morgantown, West Virginia, where she spent 20 years dedicated to caring for patients as a nurse. Her work was not simply a career-it was an expression of her character. She cared for each patient with grace and empathy, reflecting the same tenderness she offered at home.

Above all, Carolyn lived her life devoted to her family. Whether celebrating milestones or providing quiet comfort during difficult moments, she was the foundation upon which her family relied. Often found reading a good book in the sun, or planting flowers in the spring for the family to enjoy. Her legacy is one of generosity, love, and enduring devotion.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
