Catherine Rose Thewlis

Catherine R. Thewlis, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her home. She was born March 17, 1933 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Earl and Clara (Baumagarden) Fisher. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and canning. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert E. Thewlis; children, Robert Thewlis Jr. and his wife Beth of Morgantown and Clifford Thewlis of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, R. Eric Thewlis, and Charles Thewlis; and four great grandchildren. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and a private family service will take place with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
