Charles Junior Sphar

Charles Junior Sphar, 83, of Albright, passed away on June 4, 2026, at Mon General Hospital.

He was born on December 16, 1943, the son of the late John and Mollie (Thomas) Sphar.

Junior worked as a security guard at Seghi's 5 Lakes. Hunting and fishing were the joys of his life. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with his good friend and hunting buddy, Bob Roy, as well as fishing with Johnny Sypolt, Doug Gidley, and his longtime friend, Hubert Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Cale) Sphar; three sons, Keith Sphar, John Sphar (Tammy), and Charlie Bohon and fiancée Judy Wilhelm, all of Albright; and three daughters, Debbie (Eugene) Riley, Billie Jo Pyles of Tunnelton, and Wendy (Preston) Posey of Inwood, West Virginia. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as his beloved dog, Jack.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Sphar; his sisters, Florence Jones and Betty Leggett; and his son-in-law, Bruce Pyles.

In accordance with his wishes, Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
