Cleatus Wilson

Cleatus E. âCleatâ Wilson, 82, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his residence.Cleatus was born in Waynesburg, PA on January 12, 1929, the son of the late Stanley and Mildred Wilson.He graduated from Clay Battelle High School in 1946 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He also attended The Church of Christ. He retired as an electrician after 25 years, and was a member of IBEW Local # 596. He also enjoyed working on his farm in Mooresville and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife Mary Bell Wilson, his children Judy Rose and husband, John of Mooresville, WV, Jane Evans and husband, Jon of Waynesburg, PA, Bonnie Jo Statler and husband, Ben of Naples, FL and Cliff Wilson of Morgantown. His grandchildren Greg Rose, Jeff Davis, Julie Statler Sheppard, Scott Rose, Ben Statler II, Jarett Davis, Libby Rose Deiger and 12 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Brian and Gary Wilson of Barrackville, WV.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Gail Wilson, the mother of his children. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Tuesday, April 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 13, from 10-11am. A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday in the funeral home with Evangelist Steve Snider officiating. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Mooresville.
