Connie Zilkanich

Connie Lou Zilkanich, 86, of Morgantown, died on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center. Connie was born on March 18, 1933, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Durham Wade. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles George Zilkanich, on January 14, 2016; and two sisters, Dolores Frum and Patty Rudash. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Connie was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 2, 1957, in Connellsville, PA, and was a member of the Morgantown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 62 years. Connie was a bank teller and then became a full-time homemaker. Connie and George enjoyed many happy years together. Some of their happiest moments were spent working together during the construction and remodeling of Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls in several nearby states. Family and friends would like to thank Dr. Michael O’Keefe for his compassion and guidance during difficult times. Fulfilling Connie’s wishes, a public graveside service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 1:00 PM at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
