Craig Richard Petzold

Craig Richard Petzold, 59, of Morgantown, West Virginia, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 22nd 2017. He was born November 17th 1957 in St. Mary's PA, the son of Richard L. Petzold and Margaret R. Gapinski Petzold. In 1985, he married Terri Lee Lewis and they residing in Columbia, MD for over two decades. Craig was dedicated to higher learning, gaining a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacology from the Univ. of Pittsburgh, and Masters Degrees in both Business and Finance from Johns Hopkins University. His passionate work to heal others included Clinical Pharmacology, Nuclear Pharmacology, and PET Radiopharmacy. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Kelly Petzold of Columbia, MD, and a son, Matthew Petzold of Morgantown, WV, his brother-in-law, Jack Cusatis and nephew Joshua Cusatis. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Cusatis. Craig’s zest for life was riding his motorcycles. He was on his way home from a race in Indiana when he had a heart attack. A memorial service will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Saturday, July 1st at 3 PM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
