David Clyde McMillen, 55, of Mt. View Rd., Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, July 6, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital.He was born in Morgantown on July 30, 1955, the son of Phyllis Dalton Hart who survives him, and the late Russell Hart.He is survived by his wife, Charlene Gay Dalton McMillen mother-in-law, Connie Dalton one son, Chad McMillen and his wife Tara two grandsons, Avery and Carson McMillen a sister, Carol Murray and her husband Doug a brother, Mark Hart and his wife Tammy a sister-in-law, Cheryl Murray and her husband Gilbert two brothers-in-law, Ted Dalton and his wife Deb, and Arlie Dalton, Jr. as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Arlie Dalton.David was employed with Consol Energy for more than 30 years, most recently at the Robinson Run Mine, and also formerly with the Osage and Arkwright Mines. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association, WV Contest Riders Association, the National Barrell Horse Association, the International Barrell Horse Association, and the Gold Wing Association.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, July 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. On Saturday, July 9th, Mr. McMillen will be moved to the Mt. View Free Methodist Church on Mt. View Rd., where visitation will continue from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Francis Craker officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
