David William Mccormick

David William McCormick, 66, of Morgantown passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born November 19, 1949 in Morgantown; the son of Dorothy Snider McCormick and the late, Dewey McCormick. He retired from sterling faucet after 28 years of service and was employed as a custodian with WVU Health Sciences. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Velma Nuce McCormick; his children, Donald (Vanessa) McCormick of Morgantown. Tracy (Rachel) McCormick of Bobtown, PA and Candace (Rodney) Caton of Bruceton Mills; grandchildren, Elizabeth McCormick, Forrest Golden, Jason Caton, Alex McCormick, Sarah McCormick, Brittany Caton and Abbigail McCormick; brother and sisters, Bonnie Johnson of Warren, OH, Gerald (Shirley) McCormick of Morgantown and Tammy Phillips of Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his father, granddaughter, Emily McCormick, grandson, Daniel McCormick and an infant brother, Robert Leroy McCormick. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown Wednesday, June 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 16th from 9a.m until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m with Bishop Robert Hoskins officiating.
