Deborah Lynn Berkshire

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Berkshire, 67, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1951 in Morgantown, a daughter of Charles and Barbara Bowser. Debbie retired from the Mon County Board of Education after 37 years of dedicated service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Debbie loved going to the beach for family vacations. She was a hardworking person who found pleasure in doing for others. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Danny Berkshire; children, Jodi Kooser and her husband Frank, Jeffrey Berkshire, and Jeanette Lancaster and her husband Chris, all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Timothy Kooser, Lillian Kooser, Lindsea Berkshire, Ryan Berkshire, Walker Berkshire, Tyler Lancaster, Cameron Lancaster, Hannah Dalton, and Lindsey Lancaster; siblings, Pam Slider and her husband Phillip, Sharon Wotring-Waybright and her husband Dorsey, Chuck Bowser and his wife Helen, and Stephen Bowser and his wife B.J.; and brother and sisters in law, Sandra Campbell and her husband Roy, Larry Berkshire and his wife Candy, Nancy Marshall and her husband James, Gary Berkshire and his wife Nikki, and Cheryl Petrisin and her husband Ray. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Care Partners, with special appreciation to Malerie Crouse for all of her love and support. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown on Tuesday, June 12th from 4-8 PM and again on Wednesday, June 13th from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
