Debra Ann Mendez

Debra Ann Mendez went to be with Jesus on April 29, 2026 and passed at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born in San Bernadino, California and was the cherished fiancé of David Luna and the beloved daughter of Simon Escamilla and Barbara Richards, her bonus mother, Mary Ann (Mimi) Sanchez, and bonus father, Billy Davidson. 

She is survived by her son, Isaiah Escamilla; her brothers, Trevor Richards, Adam Richards, and Brandon Richards; her sisters, Barbara Ann Cook, Chelsey Hussung; her aunt, Laura Walls and uncle, Craig LaFleur; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara LaFleur and grandfather, Glenn LaFleur.

She loved and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and trusted Him, above all, for every endeavor of her life. She worked as a dedicated home health care provider for many years up until 10 months before her passing. In her free time, she enjoyed photography, travel, cooking, and watching sports like baseball, football and boxing. 

She also enjoyed helping people, making strangers smile, and her Yorkie Kevin. 

She will always be remebered as an affable, altruistic, and inspiring person; a warrior with resolve unshakeable. She will forever be cherished and missed.
