Dolores Irene Haun went to be with her Lord on February 8, 2026 at age 90, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home. She was born April 9, 1935 in Weston, WV to the late Clifford Rex and Dovie Bell (Heater) McKinney.
Dolores graduated from Morgantown High School in 1954 and worked at Murphy’s Five and Ten. She married the love of her life, Donald Dee Haun October 26, 1956. They worked hard to build a home in Brown’s Chapel where Dolores was very active with the Brown’s Halleck Community Association. She also worked part time in the WVU Student ID office.
She loved attending Goshen Baptist Church and would sometimes play the harmonica during service.
She made the best macaroni and cheese ever! Also, she absolutely loved her grandson and great grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dee Haun; grandson, Steven Michael Sisler; and an infant sister.
Dolores is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna (Haun) Sisler and her husband, pastor Bob, of Morgantown; her granddaughter-in-law, Angie Marie Sisler; and her adored great-grandchildren, Leah Marie and Adam Christopher Sisler; and step great-grandson, Luke Ryan Lemasters, all of Morgantown;
close cousins, Norma Sowers, Mary Husted, Verna Baca, and many other beloved cousins; close niece, Leslie (Carpenter) Miller; and several other beloved nieces.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, February 11th from 5:00 To 7:00. Visitation will continue at Goshen Baptist Church, 1070 Goshen Rd., Morgantown, from 11:00 until the time of the service at 12:00 noon with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Morgantown, WV.
