Eric Jack Elza

Eric Jack Elza, 62, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31, 1960 in Elkins, WV, a son of the late Jack and Roberta (Johnson) Elza.

Eric was a 1978 graduate of Parsons High School and retired as a Captain from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after working in several locations throughout the country. In his free time, he enjoyed Harley Davidsons, barbequing and smoking meat, and taking guitar lessons. Before he fell ill, he also liked deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Susie (Delaney) Elza of Morgantown; daughter, Stacey Elza and her husband Adam Komisaruk of Morgantown; grandchildren, Josephine and Alice Komisaruk of Morgantown; brother, Bill Elza and his wife Tracey of Parsons; and sister-in-law, Lindsey George of Springfield, VA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Todd Elza.
