Freddie Sheppard

Freddie Ronald âRonâ Sheppard, 73, of Unity Manor Apartments, Morgantown, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Ron was born in Avondale Estates, GA on March 30, 1938, a son of the late Henry and Nellie Bennett Sheppard.Survivors include his four children, Jennifer Sheppard of Morgantown, Amy Demas and husband Mark and Jessica Alaidy all of Spokane, WA, and Suzette Lambert of Phoenix, AZ several grandchildren three brothers, Larry Sheppard and wife Rhoda of Portland, OR, Carl Sheppard of Corvallis, OR and Tim Sheppard and wife Terry of Junction City, OR a sister, Dolores Sheppard of Portland, OR and his dear friend of 40 years, Debby McCartney of Morgantown. Ron was a well known local artist and served in the United States Army.At the request of the family, there will be no funeral home visitation. However, family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2 PM for a graveside committal service at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, where Full Military Honors will be accorded.
