Gary (J.R.) Cecchinelli Jr.

Gary (J.R.) Cecchinelli, 30, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday October 16th, 2016 at his home. He was born in Morgantown, WV on December 7, 1985, the son of Gary Cecchinelli. J.R. graduated from Morgantown High School in 2004. He went on to attend Fairmont State University, where his father went to school. He graduated in 2010 with three College Degrees consisting of Business, Art, and Graphic Design. He was currently employed at Greer Limestone Company. J.R. was an outdoorsman and especially liked to fish. He also had a passion for cars and motorcycles. In his free time, he enjoyed being with family and drawing. J.R. is survived by his father, Gary Cecchinelli; his stepmother, Albany Haderman Cecchinelli; his sister, Savannah Cecchinelli Oleksa and husband Tyler; and step-brother Joshua Haderman and wife Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ferris and Bettie Ruth Cecchinelli; and his uncle Greg Cecchinelli. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown on Wednesday, October 19th from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, October 20th from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and again on Friday, October 21st at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. John V. DiBacco officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in J.R.’s memory to the Gregory Cecchinelli Memorial Scholarship Fund at Fairmont State University.
