Gena Ruth Naugle

Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gena Ruth Naugle, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Gena's spirit shined brightly through her work as a Teacher’s Aide at Mountainview Elementary and through her love for her family, friends, and beloved pets.

Gena was born on April 14, 1955, and left her legacy of love and kindness behind on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She is survived by her brothers: Jerry Balash (wife Nancy) and Lee Balash (wife Chantal); beloved children: Gianne Workman, Heather Rios, Michael Workman, and Geoffrey ‘Taz’ Naugle (companion Michelle Bissell); stepchildren: Shayne Naugle (companion Linda Frey) and Amy Naugle; grandchildren: Elsa, Aidan, Celia, Adrian, Gazala, Nadiya, Madison, Sheridan, and Olivia; and her dear family friends: Patty Kinsley and Jean DeAntonis.

Gena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Naugle, and her parents, Fred and Jean Balash. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family, as they continue to honor the legacy of love and kindness that Gena embodied.

Gena found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was cheering on her favorite sports teams, casting a line into the water, or reveling in the beauty of nature. Her laughter echoed through the trees during family outings, and her warmth was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we say goodbye to Gena, we celebrate her life and the countless memories we shared. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
