Genevieve “Gene” Paugh, 90, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Morgantown on November 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Fred B. and Katherine (Krishock) Jakeway. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles, Jr., Mike (Elizabeth), Jerry (Linda) and Darren Paugh; grandchildren, Shawn Paugh and Holly Honeycutt; great-grandchildren, Austin, Alyvia, Brayden and Blake. Gene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister She was a longtime member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and took communion to hospital patients and to shut-ins . She was a volunteer for Birthright, taught CCD classes at St Francis and volunteered at Mon General Hospital. She worked for WVU Publications and was a Real Estate Agent until she retired. Her love of gardening kept her going until her passing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles Paugh, Sr.,infant son and twin daughters, son Jimmy, and sisters: Betty Ann, Marge, Mary Ellen and Kathy. Family and friends will be received at St Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3334B, University Ave., Star City, on Saturday, January 21st from 11 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial 12p.m. Inurnment will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery. Donations may be made in Genevieve’s memory to Birthright of Morgantown, 364 High Street, Morgantown, WV 26505
