Geraldine V. Dalton

Geraldine V. Dalton, 95, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1930 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late James O. and Ada M. (Dalton) Hart.

Geraldine worked for Valcraft Glass, Bailey Glass and Beaumont Glass for a total of almost 30 years.

She was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Church, where she participated in the choir and was previously the Sunday School Treasurer. She was also the treasurer for the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery for many years.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Dalton; nephew, James “Jim” “John” Summers (Phyllis); nieces, Linda Strawser (Raymond), Gloria Rowan, Kimberly Suder (Tim); five great nieces, and two great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ralph Summers; and nephew-in-law, Gary Rowan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, c/o Glenn Dalton, 2436 Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, WV 26508.

Friends and family will be received at Mt. Pleasant Global Methodist Church, 1415 Kingwood Pike, Morgantown on Friday, March 27th from 3 PM until the time of the funeral service on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sean Wightman and Pastor Donna Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
