Glen Eugene "Tub" Bee

Listen to Obituary

Glen E. “Tub” Bee, 76, of Morgantown, WV, passed away on May 18, 2026. Born May 30, 1950, to the late William and Mary Bee, Tub spent his life doing exactly what he wanted: loving his family, serving his country, making people laugh, and probably ignoring at least half the advice ever given to him.

Tub proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, the United States Army, and the National Guard because apparently one branch of military service just wasn’t enough excitement for him. He fought for his country in both Vietnam and Desert Storm and carried that same strength, grit, and loyalty into every part of his life afterward.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Deborah (Nuce) Bee , who deserves some sort of national recognition herself for putting up with him that long. Together they built a big, loud, loving family that Tub was endlessly proud of.

He is also survived by his daughter, Beverly Carroll and her husband, Nick; grandchildren, Jadie and Hunter Bee, Austin, Justin, and Dawson Carroll; great-grandchildren, Justyn Gamble, Owen Baldwin IV, and Kelsey Carroll; and bonus grandchildren, Macy Johnson and Tommy Baldwin, all of whom knew there was never a shortage of love, stories, or opinions when Tub was around.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Bee.

Trying to list all of Tub’s siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family would honestly require its own separate publication. Between Tub’s 13 brothers and sisters and Deborah’s 6 siblings and their spouses, family gatherings looked less like reunions and more like small-town festivals. Tub loved every single one of them fiercely.

No matter where he went, Tub never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and usually leave them laughing before it was over. He had a way of making people feel like family, whether they actually were or not. If you crossed paths with him, chances are you walked away with a story.

Glen’s wife, Deborah, warmly invites and encourages family and friends to place a coin in Tub’s Veterans Memorial Garden at their home on Aaron’s Creek Road in honor of his life, service, and the countless memories shared there.

The world lost a good man, a proud Veteran, and one hell of a storyteller. Somewhere up there, Tub’s already introducing himself to everybody and acting like he owns the place.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home/Omega Crematory. Interment will take place at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 26th at the West Virginia National Cemetery, 42 Veterans Memorial Ln. in Grafton, WV, with full military rites being conducted.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you thank a Veteran, share a laugh with someone who needs it, or make a donation to the Morgantown Vet Center, 34 Commerce Drive Suite 101, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com
