Helen Smith

Helen G. Smith, 81, of Morgantown, formerly of Pine Brook, NJ passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Monongalia General Hospital.Helen was born in Hawthorne, New Jersey on May 28, 1928, the daughter of the late William C. and Irene Gyesky Gorman.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and enjoyed spending time with her family.She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Petroplus and husband Parry and her son, William Smith, her brother, Henry Gorman and wife Connie grandchildren, William Smith, Brian Smith, Kate Smith, George Petroplus, and Cory Petroplus and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Smith, son, James Smith, sisters Lucy Marsh and Jean Nelson.Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.Family committal services will be held in New Jersey at a later date.Donations may be made in Helenâs memory to the American Lung Association of West Virginia, 415 Dickenson Street, Charleston, WV 25339.
