Jack Joseph “Jay” Maxon, 63, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born March 19, 1962 in Morgantown, a son of the late Jack and Linda (Hilling) Maxon.

In his free time, he enjoyed old cars, motorcycles, and Gettysburg and the Civil War. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Angela Hall (Brian), Nathan Maxon, Joshua Maxon (significant other, Stephanie), and Damien Maxon (significant other, Brianna); grandchildren Addison, Sekai, Addy, Paisley, Lincoln, Paislee, and Ellee; siblings, Cindy Johnson (David), Mindy Riley, Shawn Maxon, and Timmy Maxon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including special nieces Caylee and Lanee.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Melissa Maxon and Kristy Maxon Wolfe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nicholson Chapel, 1326 Summers School Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at Nicholson Chapel, 1326 Summers School Road, Morgantown, WV on Saturday, December 27th from 3-5 PM . Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
