James Caravasos

James P. Caravasos, of 341 Laurel St., Morgantown passed away on February 21, 2018, surrounded by his family. James was born on October 25, 1931, in Morgantown, a son of the late Peter and Pearl Simpson Caravasos. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School class of 1949. James graduated from West Virginia University with an AB degree and a BS degree in Pharmacy. He was an officer in Armor Division US Army, reaching the rank of Captain. He served on the boards of Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown Transit Authority, and the Morgantown Parking Authority. He was a member of Morgantown Kiwanis Club. He worked as a Registered Pharmacist at Wells-Haymaker Drug Store in Clarksburg, McVicker’s Drug Store, City Pharmacy and Suncrest Pharmacy in Morgantown. He is survived by his wife Connie Jo Crow Caravasos, two sons and spouses. Mark A. and Rhonda Caravasos of Morgantown and Michael A. and Natalie Caravasos of Morgantown, along with one Grandson, Xanthe, three Granddaughters, Amber Davis and spouse Orin, Hailey Hill and Mya Caravasos, and a Great Grandson, Tiegan Davis. Cremation services have been provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory. Family will receive friends Sunday, February 25 at Hastings Funeral Home 2 pm to 5 pm Interment will follow at a later date at Pisgah Cemetery, Smithtown Road.
