James Alan Gyorko

James Alan Gyorko, 73, of Morgantown passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home. James was born on March 1, 1949 in Somerset, PA the son of late Stephen and Lola Gyorko.

James was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star, Silver Star and a Purple Heart.

James was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting.

James is survived by nine brothers, Robert Gyorko; Richard Gyorko; Randall Gyorko; Bradley Gyorko; Donald Gyorko; Terry Gyorko; Chester Bittinger; Roger Bittinder; and Eric Bittinger; and four sisters, Deborah Whitehair; Phillis Lohr; Victoria Bittinger; and Patricia.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a brother Fred Gyorko and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

In accordance with James's wishes cremation services are being provided by Hastings Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
