James Edward Jastrzebski

James Edward “Jim” Jastrzebski, 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 12, 1947 to the late Joseph and Dorthy Jastrebski.

Following his high school graduation, Jim embarked on a distinguished military career, proudly serving in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. His selfless dedication to his country and his fellow service members allowed him will always be honored and remembered.

Jim is survived by his children, Amy Waibel (husband, BJ), Jonathan Jastrebski (wife, Shannon), Andrea Jastrebski, Jason Jastrebski, and Amy Jefferson (husband, Thomas); grandchildren, Jake, Samantha, Zach, Brandan, Dorian, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Amelia and one baby on the way; siblings, Janine Peiritch, June Coleman (husband, Ernie), Janice Jastrebski (husband, Robert Kominski); and Greg Lewandowski; brothers-in-law, Rene Marcu and Joe Norbett; faithful friends, Scott Krepps, Brenda Krepps, and Caleb Krepps; as well as his beloved service dogs, Sgt Gunner and Eddie.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Joanne Marcu, Joe Jastrebski, and Judy Norbett.
