James Jones

It is with great sadness that the family of James Francis “Jim” Jones Sr., 72, of Arnettsville Community, WV, announces his sudden passing on March 16, 2017 at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born in Baltimore, MD on August 22, 1944, the son of the late Clyde Ambrose Jones and the late Margaret Ann Penn. He loved and enjoyed New York City, Chicago, cooking, reading, watching pool tournaments on TV, and listening to Orioles Games on the radio with his late wife “Dottie”. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, “Dottie”, and one brother, Jack Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory; one daughter, Theresa Lynn Jones- Gholston of Baltimore; one daughter-in-law, Jeneé Jones-Gholston; one son, James Francis Jones, Jr. and girlfriend Tabbie Harding of Baltimore; three sisters, Jenny and Bill Rorke, Rose and Dave Kausch, Judy and Tom McDowell; one brother, Tom Gaudino; two sisters-in-law, Rae Mincher, Joan and Glenn Miller; one brother-in-law, Chuck Lemley and girlfriend, Carol Speelman; three grandchildren, April, Troy, Emerson; two great grandchild, Ky’von and Troy Jr. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and family will be received at Hagans Christian Church, 1637 Hagans Rd., Core, WV on Saturday, April 1st from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Isaac Harmon officiating. Interment will follow at Hagans Cemetery. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
