Janet Lu Schlobohm

Janet Lu Schlobohm, 93, passed away on February 26, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1932, in Morgantown, WV to the late Odis and Ruth (Spencer) Turner.

Throughout her life, Janet showcased her unwavering support for West Virginia University sports of all kinds, and especially enjoyed the thrill of NCAA March Madness each year. She was also an avid golfer and loved the time she spent on the greens.

Janet was a dedicated member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church, where her commitment to her faith was a cornerstone of her life.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her children, Allen Schlobohm (Marian), Donna Miller (Jim), and Phill Schlobohm (Debra); grandchildren, Amiee, Kelly, Wesley, Erik, Dylan, and Macy; great-grandchildren Jenna and Michaiah; as well as her brother, Dean Turner (Sue), and sister-in-law, Marion Turner.

In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased in death by her husband, Donald C. Schlobohm; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica; and her brother, Sonny Turner.

The family would like to thank Sammie, Kathy, Chaplain Dennis and all of the staff at WV Caring Hospice for all of their care and support.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later time at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
