Jeffrey Scott Martin, born on April 13, 1977, in Beckley, West Virginia, passed away on April 7, 2026, in Morgantown. He was a son of Betty Bower and the late Larry Martin. Remembered most for his hearty laugh, he was a man cherished for his good sense of humor and lighthearted nature, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.

Finding peace in nature, Jeff found immense joy in fishing, hiking, camping, and bowhunting. Beyond the outdoors, Jeff was a gifted craftsman, known for his exceptional skills as a woodworker.

Sports played a significant role in Jeff's life. A former high school football player and wrestler, he had a particular fondness for watching his son, Pepper, as he continued his wrestling career in college—moments that filled him with pride and joy.

Jeff loved the companionship of his three beloved dogs: Cody, Hunter, and Azure.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 21 years, Season Martin, and their son, Pepper Martin. He is also survived by his brother, Jason Martin and his wife Nikki; and his sister, Michaela Martin Guyer and her husband Walter.

Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements. Friends and family will be received to celebrate his life at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Saturday, April 11th from 2:00- 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made in Jeff’s name to University of Pitt-Johnstown Athletic Boosters Mountain Cat Wrestling Club at https://mcatwc.org/#member.
