Joan Maxine Conner

Joan M. "Gabby" Conner, 87, of Bretz, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Booth on July 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Amos Liston and the late Sadie Strawser Liston. Gabby loved to take care of her house plants, reading and crocheting. She especially loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Kenneth Conner; children, Brenda Tasker and husband, Jesse of Hedgesville, Michael Conner of Bretz and LaJoyce Johnson and husband Sam of Lorain, OH; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
