Joan Wilda Thomas

Joan Wilda Thomas, 81, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully by her husband's side on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on October 28, 1938, in Clarksville, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas James and Christine (Fowler) Robinson. Joan was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and very active in assisting the needs of those in the congregation and the community. She enjoyed cooking and hosting large groups of both friends and family. She was thought of as a "second" mother to many children whom she provided child care for in her home over many decades. Joan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dennis Gene Thomas; three children, Matt Thomas and wife, Jill, Victoria Thomas, and Douglas Thomas; brother, John Robinson; and sister, Bonnie Johnson. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory.
