Joanna Marie Luckey

Joanna Marie Luckey, 100, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 with family by her side. She was born April 22, 1925 in Waltersburg, PA, a daughter to the late John Howard and Anna Dannecker Hagerty.

She was a faithful member of Harner Chapel Church and enjoyed volunteering at Dorsey Elementary School and Moutainview Elementary School. Joanna loved being around children and her family was the delight of her life.

Joanna is survived by her daughters, Bonita “Bonnie” Luckey Meadows and her husband, Pastor Dan Meadows, Constance “Connie” Meadows and her husband Bob Meadows; grandchildren, Megan Melinda Marston (Mike), Heidi Marie Figiel (Todd), and Kendra Jo Stewart (Steve); great-grandchildren, Emma Marston, Hannah Marston, Stephen Figiel, Bryan Figiel, Mila Figiel, Steven Stewart, Seth Stewart, several wonderful nieces and nephews; and many precious friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Luckey; three brothers, Lloyd, James David, and Ray Hagerty; and one sister, Emma Lou Nicola.

In keeping with Joanna’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, October 23rd from 3-7 PM.  Visitation will continue at Harner Chapel United Methodist Church, 100 Luckey Lane, Morgantown, on Saturday, October 25th from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Pamela Todd and Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.  Inurnment will follow at a later time at East Oak Grove Cemetery.  

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.
