John Scott Clarke

John Scott "Scotty" Clarke, 80, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1944 to the late Harry "Flash" Clarke and Lillian (Howard) Clarke.

Scott was a Morgantown High School graduate, class of 1962. During his high school years he played football, wrestled, and was a member of the track team. Following high school, Scott went to WVU where he received a degree in industrial arts and worked as a safety manager for the federal government including the Department of Justice.

He enjoyed fishing, especially for brook trout, hunting, billiards, and golfing. He preferred to stay active outdoors and knew people everywhere he went. He never met a stranger.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vickie Clarke; daughter, Laura M. Bostic (Drew); granddaughter, Lillian M. Bostic; and grandson, Lincoln D. Bostic.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Casto.

In keeping with Scott's wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
