John Knox

"Sheriff" John Knox, 58, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born April 5, 1961 in Uniontown, PA, a son of Martha L. Gaspar and the late Harry J. Knox, Sr. John worked for 20 years at PACE. In his free time, he enjoyed playing softball at the Miracle Field, bowling with the Special Olympics, watching Jeff Gordon and wrestling matches. In addition to his mother, John is survived by his siblings, Harry J. Knox, Jr. and James T. Knox; stepbrother, James Gaspar; and his very best friends, Dan, Abby, and Bonnie. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Andy Gaspar; brother, Lee Knox; and sister, Debby Kaider. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, November 15th from 3-7 PM and again on Saturday, November 16th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Geneva, PA.
