John Swihart

John Franklin Swihart, 68, passed away December 19, 2010. John was born November 17, 1942 in Nineveh, PA. John was the son of the late Joseph Charles Swihart Sr. and Loverna Madge Dunn Swihart. He was a member Park Baptist Church in McKeesport.He is survived by three sisters and one brother. Loverna Gilbert and Richard Swihart of McKeesport, PA., Phyllis Squires of Waynesburg, PA., and Sierra Lanham of Cheat Lake, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph (Sonny) Charles Swihart Jr.John lived in Pittsburgh and McKeesport for many years before making his home in Waynesburg. John loved to go to museums and libraries. He enjoyed genealogy. He loved to travel, do jig saw and crossword puzzles.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, on Thursday, December 23, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00p.m in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating. Burial will follow at North Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery, Marianna, PA.
