Jordan Michael Demaske

Jordan Michael DeMaske, 24, of Morgantown, entered into the arms of his Savior on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Mon General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jordan regularly celebrated his faith in his Lord and Savior. During his life, he attended Christian Student Fellowship of Morgantown, WV, Waynesburg Christian Church, and Oak Grove Church of Christ. Jordan graduated from Morgantown High school in 2010 and West Virginia University in 2015 with a B.S. Degree in Criminology. His plans were to be a police officer and work his way up to a federal agent. He was a member of the NRA. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity where he also served as a Chaplin and a member of the Alumni Advisory Board. He was also a member or the Mountaineer Maniacs and enjoyed listening to country music. Jordan loved our country and was a proud supporter of the military and especially “The Navy Seals.” He loved to travel to new places and spending time with his fraternity brothers and friends at WVU. Jordan spent the last two years of his life being an inspiration to everyone he met. When he met someone new, he made it his mission to make them smile and lift them up by using his experience with cancer to encourage and touch them. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cora Northover Tennant and his paternal grandmother, Catherine Clegg DeMaske. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Bambi DeMaske of Morgantown, WV; brother, Matthew DeMaske, USMC, Owa Beach, Hawaii; sister, Lauren DeMaske, Mayfield Heights, OH; maternal grandparents, Jim and Janice Tennant, Washington, PA; and most importantly his beloved beagle “Slaton” now in the care of his parents. A special thank you to Mon General Hospital Oncology Out Patient Infusion Center, 5th floor Oncology staff, Zelda Weiss Cancer Center staff, and Ruby Memorial Patient Care Advocate, Massage Therapist, 6th floor N Obs, PT, Radiation Oncology staff that loved Jordan through this journey. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, September 4, at Chestnut Ridge Church 2233 Cheat Road, Morgantown, WV 26508, with Pastor Kevin Summers Officiating. Private Interment will be held at Springhill Union Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made WVU foundation, ref: Jordan DeMaske’s Memorial Fund, P.O.
