Juanita Price

Juanita Marie Price, 91, of Hudson, NC, formerly of Gladesville, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. She was born on May 10, 1928, the daughter of the late James Archie Willis Powell and the late Alice Hayhurst Powell. Juanita was employed as a bookkeeper in various businesses in the Morgantown area until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed traveling, flowers, music, and collecting cookbooks. She is survived by her son, John Price, Jr., and wife, Pamela Summers Price, of Gladesville; daughter, Jessie Price of Lenoir, NC; three grandchildren: Jennifer Ann Price Davis and husband, Mike, John Matthew Price and wife, Kathy, and Christopher Adam Price and wife, Bethany; five great-grandchildren: Warrick Davis, Logan Price, Brayden Price, Madelynn Price, and Jackson Price; brother, Archie Powell and his wife, Susan; and their daughter, Kimberly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Elmus Price, and an infant son, James Willis Price. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Friday, July 5, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday, July 6, 2019, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Gladesville Cemetery.
