Kaethe George

Kaethe Marie George, 56, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Madison Nursing & Rehab. She was born in New York City on June 22, 1956, the daughter of Inez Engram George and the late Joseph Samuel George. Kaethe graduated from Perry High School in Georgia, and went on to get a degree from Georgia State University in drama and theater. She was the Executive Director of the Mannette Foundation, as well as personal assistant and biographer to Elliott (Ellie) Mannette. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but will not be forgotten. She is survived by her mother, 14 brothers and sisters, her friend and mentor, Elliott (Ellie) Mannette and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one sister. In honoring Kathe's wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at Mannette Musical Instruments at 454 Scott Run Rd. in Osage, from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
