Karen Sue May

Karen Sue May, born on March 2, 1955, in Morgantown, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. She was a daughter to the late Harold "Hoy"  and Thelma Dalton.

She is survived by her beloved son, Joseph "Joey" May, and his wife, Roxanne; grandchildren, Samuel May, Kevin James May, Joseph Dalton, Jireh Plaster, and Jaxen Plaster. Karen is also survived by her sister, Roxie Dalton Donaldson and her husband, Butch; brothers, Kevin Dalton and his wife, Barbara, and Roland Dalton and his wife, Kelly; aunts, Jackie Hart, Barbara Nicholson, and Emmalee Nichols, as well as her uncle Ronnie Lewis.

Karen also shared a special bond with her friend, Heather and her family, as well as her friend, Sarah, who will all remember her fondly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, James May, and her significant other, Evan.

Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her spirit will live on in the memories shared by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Morgantown on Friday, May 30th, at 1:00PM, with Pastor Donna Dalton officiating.
