Karen Moran

Karen Moran, age 58, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Morgantown Healthcare Center. She was born on November 3, 1967, in Rochester Hills, Michigan, to the late Raphael Joseph and Mary Louise (Deblaere) David.

Karen was a vibrant soul who enriched the lives of everyone she met.

She graduated from University High School in 1987 and worked at PACE Enterprises in Morgantown. Karen enjoyed meeting new people and made friends everywhere she went.

She had a spirited personality and a heart of gold.

Karen enjoyed many things, but one of her favorite traditions was attending the Buckwheat Festival each year in the Fall. She also had a sweet tooth, with a particular fondness for peach rings, often enjoying them as a favorite snack.

Karen is survived by her brothers and sisters, Raphael J David Jr., Cindy Gates (Orville), Stephen David, Sandy David, and Jennifer Dixon (Jerry Jr.). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Natalie Dixon (Adam Hargis), and special nephews, Ryan Dixon (Emmie Mathess) and Jay David (Daneal), who will hold cherished memories of their time together.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kay David.

Her legacy of kindness, love, and friendship will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family would like to thank Gary and Rachel Dalton of Bruceton Mills, WV for all of the years they cared for Karen. They would also like to thank the WV Caring Hospice team including Carrie Blosser for their loving care and dedication. Another special thank you to their dear friend Kerry Raber and the team at Morgantown Healthcare for their extra caring and patience with Karen.

The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date.
