Karyn Harris

Karyn Mock Harris, 52, of Bruceton Mills, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 27, 1967, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Nick and Shirley (Huey) Mock. Karyn was a member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church and attended services regularly at Mount Moriah, Centenary, and Cuzzart United Methodist Churches. She was a dedicated Applications Systems Analyst with WVU Medicine, for whom she worked for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed being at the beach, spending time with her family, and caring for her many "adopted" children. She is survived by her husband, Mark Harris; daughter, Hannah Poole and her husband R. Craig of Morgantown; siblings, Amy Shanholtzer and her husband Craig of Fairmont and Garth Mock of Westover; and nieces and nephew, Claire and Lauren Shanholtzer and Garett, Kaleigh, Lilly, and Lainey Mock. She is also survived by all of her "adopted" nieces and nephews who meant so much to her and her three rescue dogs, Eli, Wyatt, and Dexter. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements. Friends and family will be received at Spruce Street United Methodist Church, 386 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Sunday, December 29th from 3-5 PM and again on Monday, December 30th from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11 AM with Rev.
