Kevin Neil Bates

Kevin Neil Bates, 59, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, August 8,2023, at ResCare Assisted Living Facility.

Kevin was born October 18,1963, the son of James Robert Bates and the late Beneta Lue Bates. 

In addition to his father, Kevin is survived by his brother, Scott Bates of Fairmont; his brother Brian Bates and wife, Sally, also of Fairmont; a niece, Carrie O'Nan and husband, Casey; and great niece, Mackynzie, of Centerburg, Ohio.

Kevin worked as a general mail clerk at BB&T Bank in Fairmont for many years until his retirement. He had been active in Marion County Special Olympics. He especially loved bowling.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
