Larry Osecky

Larry Allen Osecky, 58, of Cassville Mt. Morris Road, Morgantown, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer Saturday, April 16, 2011.Larry was born in Morgantown on July 23, 1952, the son of Helen Jean Gamble Osecky of Morgantown and the late Stanley Osecky.He was employed by H. B. Arrison/Interstate Lumber for over 35 years.Larry loved sports and was a great athlete. More than anything else he loved his family. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.He is survived by his wife of 22 years and his care giver Ida May Yost Osecky two stepsons, Ryan Statler and wife Cheryl of Morgantown and Ron Statler and companion Melissa of Lone Pine, PA grandsons, Tad, Levi, and Dillon Statler and Christopher Bate brothers and sister, Todd Osecky and wife Sandy of Mt. Morris, Jeff Osecky and wife Billie Jo, Nancy Ciarmella and husband Pete, Chuck Osecky and wife Pam all of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Wyatt Ellijah Statler. The family would like to send a special thanks to Morgantown Hospice, especially to Karen, Nancy, and Heather. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Tuesday, April 19 from 4-8p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 20 from 9:30am to 10:30am. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA.",212598
